After filling out our new patient form, a hygienist or assistant will guide you to a room. The dentist, hygienists, and assistants will work as a team to assess gum and tooth – as well as overall – health status. We take any necessary x-rays, perform an exam and when needed, clean your teeth.
Feel free to ask questions throughout this process! No detail is too big or small for us to help you especially when it comes to your health. When you’re finished with your appointment, you’ll be guided back to the lobby where one of our friendly front-desk staff will help you with scheduling, payment and any other questions you may have.

For your convenience our dental office accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and CareCredit. A 5% discount will be offered to patients who pay for their services same-day. Do you accept my insurance plan?
Our office works with most insurance plans. We’ll gladly file your insurance claim and work with your insurance company to expedite processing and maximize your benefits. Our team is knowledgeable about dental insurance plans and coverage and we’re more than happy to discuss the particulars of your plan with you prior to any treatment.
Why isn’t the recommended treatment a covered benefit?
Dr. Hogan diagnoses and provides treatment based on their professional judgment, not based on just what the insurance company dictates. Some employers or insurance plans exclude coverage for necessary treatment as a way to reduce their costs. Your plan may not include this particular treatment or procedure, even if your dentist deemed the treatment necessary.
How do I understand my Explanation of Benefits (EOB)?
Your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) is a wealth of information. The EOB identifies the benefits, the amount your insurance carrier is willing to pay, and charges covered or not covered by your plan.
How long does it take for a claim to be paid?
The time for a dental insurance carrier to process an insurance claim varies. Our dental office gladly files all your insurance claims electronically in order to eliminate long process times. The insurance carrier pays claims, ranging generally from 15-60 days after filing.
